LeBron James Toy Filled With Water refers to a series of videos of people filling the LeBron's James Doll with water. In August 2021, TikTokers then began using a different Lebron Space Jam doll, filling it with water and other liquids like milk or orange juice.

Origin

TikToker^[1] @take.ls.or.give.ls uploaded the first video of this on August 13th, 2021 (shown below), in which he filled the doll with water in a sink and slapping it. The video gained 5.5 million views and 860,000 likes in five days.

Spread

In August 2021, TikTokers were taking the trend a step further, using a different stretchy and goo-filled^[3] Lebron James Space Jam doll and filled it with water and other liquids like milk and orange juice.

For example, On August 16th, 2021, TikToker^[2] carcharodontasaurus posted a video in which he filled the doll with water and throwing it and slapping it around. The video gained 789,500 views and 79,500 likes in 4 days (shown below, left) Although it doesn't use the Space Jam audio from the head-stealing videos, other TikToks inspired it. One such example was posted by TikToker^[3] @emersonocole on August 16th, 2021 (shown below, right), in which his friends pops the giant doll with water. The video gained 7.6 million views and 1.1 million likes over roughly two days.

On August 20th, 2021, Lessons In Meme Culture ^[4] was explaining the origin of the TikTok trend. The video hit 49,376 in a comparable span of time. (shown below).
