On April 11th, 2020, Facebook^[1] user @LuluDCarton2Official uploaded an image macro featuring the Comedy Central adult animated sitcom Drawn Together character Xandir being woken by Princess Clara while he was reading a book in bed. The image has the overlay text in Spanish "Levántate persona homosexual, es tiempo de arrepentirse," which translates to "Get up homosexual person, it's time to repent." The post (seen below) garnered over 10,000 likes and 7,800 shares in three years.

The phrase used in the image macro, "Levántate persona homosexual," then became a prominent catchphrase among the Spanish-speaking LGBTQ+ community. For example, on June 1st, 2021, Facebook^[2] user @gututus posted an image of a cat holding a rainbow flag in celebration of Pride Month.
