Over the course of the month, the song became popular in lip dub videos about women's accomplishments and defying gender expectations. The song was officially released on streaming platforms on April 21st, 2023.

On April 4th, 2023, TikToker[1] and musician CHINCHILLA (@chinchilla_music) posted a video preview of her new song "Little Girl Gone," garnering over 3.5 million views in a week (shown below). The video makes an observation about people not assuming she's a producer when they see her in the studio because she's a woman.

The song's original sound[3] was used over 9,000 times in the next week.
