Little Superstar is a viral video of the Indian actor Thavakalai (also known as "King Kong") breakdancing to a remix version of Madonna's 1983 hit single Holiday. Since debuting in July 2006, this YouTube clip has gained over +10 million views and spawned a series of remix / parody videos.

Origin

The dancing scene was originally featured in the 1990 Tamil film Adhisaya Piravi, a Kollywood romance comedy starring Rajinikanth and Kanaka.

Mother: Hey, hey. What's with the party early in the morning. Everyone go away, shoo, shoo. (Speaking to Rajinikanth, who's lying on the cot) Why not take some rest, dear.

Rajinikanth: OK, Mom (lights up a cigarette as she walks away).

Thavakalai: Dude, give me a cigarette.

Rajinikanth: Hey! Kids shouldn't smoke.

Thavakalai: Buddy, I'm ten years older than you. Give it to me I say.

Rajinikanth: And if I don't?

Thavakalai: I'll skin you alive.

Rajinikanth: Here you go.

Other YouTubers soon followed up with Mash-up videos using soundtracks from different music genres, such as Cypress Hill, Michael Jackson and others. Months later in September 2006, yet another scene from the same movie surfaced on YouTube, which shows Thavaklai slapping another man.
