I'm Rich" Is a memorable quote uttered by the character Hoxton in the trailer for the "Hoxton Breakout" add-on for the 2013 first-person shooter game Payday 2, which inspired the creation of many photoshopped images and gifs featuring the video game character. On Tumblr, the trailer is often referenced under the tag "#freehoxton."^[6]

On October 19th, 2014, Overkill Software released the trailer for the "Hoxton Breakout"^[2] add-on for Payday 2 (shown below). In the trailer, tha character Hoxton exclaims "Look at this! I'm rich!" during a heist scene (shown below).

Spread

The same day, Redditor Wono65 submitted a post about the trailer to the /r/paydaytheheist^[3] subreddit. On October 20th, 2014, the quote was added to the Payday 2 page on TV Tropes.^[1] On the Payday 2 Steam forums,^[4] users began posting GIFs and photoshopped images of Hoxton (shown below, left) using an exploitable template (shown below, right).

On November 11th, Tumblr^[5] user welcometobadwolfbay highlighted several animated GIFs from the trailer along with the "I'm rich" quote.
