On July 10th, 2025, singer Lorde made a carousel post on Instagram^[1] where the seventh image showed her red in the face, sitting on the floor in a black sleeveless shirt and brown flannel shorts, and looking into the camera with tears while crying. The post gathered over 300,000 likes in five days.

Also on July 10th, PopBase reposted the image of Lorde crying on X,^[2] alongside a caption that read, "Lorde shares new photo."

Later that same day, X^[3] user emssult quoted the post with a caption that read, "white nb people when you ask them to do the dishes." The post gathered over 4 million views and 70,000 likes in five days.

Also on July 10th, 2025, the Instagram^[4] page @baseballscenefromtwilight reposted the image, gathering over 20,000 likes in five days.

On July 10th, 2025, X^[8] user @greatestptl posted a Lana Del Ray lyric from her song "Cinnamon Girl" that read, "There's things I wanna say to you but I'll just let you live" alongside an image of Lorde crying while sitting down and hugging her knees. The post gathered over 25,000 likes in five days.

Also on July 10th, X^[5] user @superloafcat posted the image of Lorde crying alongside a tweet that read, "MY BEER
EXPLODED IN THE FREEZER – A COLD REMINDER THAT NEGLECT HAS CONSEQUENCES." The post gathered over 1,000 likes in five days.

On July 13th, 2025, X^[6] user @erar97 tweeted an image of Lorde hugging her knees and crying alongside a caption that read, "Monday tomorrow," gathering over 20,000 likes in three days.
