Origin

On December 16th, 2024, Redditor u/Soloflow786 posted a meme to the subreddit /r/simpsonsshitposting^[1] titled "Nintendo 64 Chalmers." The meme starts with a panel from steamed hams showing Chalmers looking at a Nintendo 64, captioned, "AND YOU CALL IT A NINTENDO 64 DESPITE THE FACT IT IS OBVIOUSLY YOUR 3RD SYSTEM?"

In the second panel, Mario's head is attached to Skinner and the notification "copied to clipboard" is shown below, which is seemingly a mistake in the making of the meme. The post gained over 1,400 upvotes in three days, with some commenters pointing out how it looks like Mario says "copied to clipboard."

The meme inspired other versions using Mario's head and the "copied to clipboard" notification on /r/simpsonsshitposting. For example, that day, Redditor u/MurphyCoDinoWrangler posted a version of the "say the line, Bart" meme to /r/simpsonsshitposting,^[2] garnering over 800 upvotes in three days.

On the same day, Redditor u/GudgerCollegeAlumnus posted a version of the meme to /r/simpsonsshitposting^[3] that garnered over 300 upvotes in three days. On December 17th, Redditor u/SpacemanSpiff1200 posted a question about the meme to /r/OutOfTheLoop,^[4] garnering over 200 upvotes in two days.
