Origin
The origin of the photograph is unknown. However, the image comes from the production of The Passion of the Christ, which Mel Gibson shot between 2002 and 2003.[1]
On November 9th, 2012, Wordpress[2] user laslinestorcidas posted the photograph in an article about The Passion of the Christ (shown below).

On September 11th, 2013, Tumblr [3] user apsies posted the image as a reaction to the caption, "so then I said to the police lady" (shown below, left).
On January 25th, 2017, Redditor Meunderwears shared the image on the /r/moviesinthemaking[4] subreddit. The post recieved more than 2,400 points (91% upvoted) and 80 comments in less than four years (shown below, center).
