Miley Cyrus Brunette Hair, also known as Miley Cyrus Botox Face, refers to a viral picture of American singer Miley Cyrus in which she revealed her new brunette hairstyle in an Instagram post in late September 2023. The photo subsequently became an exploitable meme as it was photoshopped on Twitter / X in addition to being used as a reaction image to describe people under the influence of drugs or someone that is zoned out.

Origin

On September 24th, 2023, American singer Miley Cyrus posted an Instagram^[1] carousel (shown below) revealing her new brunette hairstyle while holding a bright red Gucci bag. The post amassed over 1.6 million likes in a week.

Spread

The same day Miley Cyrus shared the new hairstyle, many X users noticed how different her face appeared to them, referring to Botox and other cosmetic procedures as potential explanations. For instance, on September 24th, 2023, X^[2] user @nyytkrawlr compared Cyrus's picture with the drag queen Alyssa Edwards (shown below, left), garnering over 1,600 likes and 93 retweets in a week. A few days later, the singer's picture was photoshopped into an Attack On Titan manga panel (shown below, right) posted on September 28th by X^[3] user @yungmonsterx, which amassed 8,000 likes and 1,000 retweets in five days.

Also on September 28th, X^[4] user @omarcoaureIio compared the photoshopped Miley's picture with a GIF (shown below), garnering more than 82,000 views and 3,800 likes in five days.
