About

"Minizzala" is a character founded on Italian rapper Lazza, also known as Zzala (as well as being the title of one of his albums). It's a dank meme commonly used by shitposters on Facebook and Instagram, and it used as appearing in different contexts, thing that makes it fit for crossover memes.

Origin

On 4th July, some users in an Italian Facebook group that counts more than 65,000 members, called "Chiamarsi MC tra amici senza apparenti meriti lirici" (translation: Being called MC among friends without apparent lyrical merit ), posted an image containing Minizzala, preceding a new album who'd be released the next day in which rapper Lazza'd be featured, called Machete Mixtape 4. The next days, these images were posted on their Instagram page and the rapper himself replied to the post. Afterwards, more memes were made, such as him riding a scooter, or him being running for Italian presidency.

Spread

The meme quickly spread on Italian Facebook and Instagram, but at the moment is rather unknown in other places.
On July 28th, u/grigolin made a post on r/memes. This post was the "say sike right now" meme including a Minizzala on the right. It didn't get more than 60 upvotes though.
