About
Mojo Jojo Beat Up or Mojo Jojo Jumped is a reaction image from The Powerpuff Girls showing the cartoon's villain Mojo Jojo (a green-colored monkey) beaten up on the floor by the Powerpuff Girls with his brain exposed and his teeth broken. The image has been the subject of object-labeling memes and image captions since the mid-2010s, also sparking a viral discussion in the 2020s on TikTok in which some argued that Mojo didn't deserve to get jumped so aggressively by the heroes.
Origin
On November 10th, 2000, season 3 episode 14 of The Powerpuff Girls aired in the United States. In a particular scene, the girls rush over to jail to confront Mojo Jojo for stealing the Mayor's candies, which leads to them severely beating him up, concluding with the character lying broken on the ground.[1]
One of the earliest online mentions of the scene was posted on YouTube[2] by user @timothydrake3660 on June 17th, 2014, which amassed roughly 320,000 views and 3,700 likes in a decade (seen below).
On February 18th, 2015, DeviantArt[3] user ultrajohn567 posted a still image of Mojo Jojo beat up accompanied with the overlay text, "Oh my God. Mojo didn't deserve that." The post (seen below) received more than 2,600 views and 29 favorites in nine years.
Spread
The still image showing Mojo Jojo beat up on the ground became a prevalent image macro and viral topic of debate regarding the girls' excessive force against the villain as it continued spreading over the following years.
For example, on February 2nd, 2022, TikTok[4] user @joshuadairen posted a video of Mojo's jail scene, adding the text, "Starting to think Mojo Jojo wasn't the villain," which received over 85,000 plays and 3,800 likes in two years.

On January 26th, 2020, Redditor[5] uhhsamurai posted a meme using a still image of Mojo beat up (seen below), writing "Mojo Jojo stay getting beat." The post garnered more than 60 upvotes and seven comments in four years.
