Moye Moye is the unofficial name given to the chorus from the Serbian song "Džanum" by Teya Dora. The song is often used as a sound effect in dramatic, sad or emotional memes, with the sound gaining viral prominence on Bangladeshi meme pages in October 2023. The original song was released in March 2023, and the chorus translates to "My nightmares."

On March 22nd, 2023, the YouTube[1] account Južni vetar posted the official music video for Serbian singer Teya Dora's song "Džanum," gathering over 47 million views in six months (seen below).
Spread
The song came to be used as the score for videos with an emotional, dramatic or sad undertone on TikTok and Instagram in subsequent months. A viral sped-up version of the song posted by TikToker[2] @tr3ndysp0tify on April 11th, 2023, gathered over 11 million views and 500,000 likes in seven months (seen below, left). A viral early example of the song's use on social media is a June 21st post by TIkToker[3] @ws4eed, which gathered over 67 million views and 8 million likes in four months (seen below, right).

The song began to trend heavily in Bangladesh in September and October 2023. On September 10th, 2023, the Instagram[4] page @_mone_nai_ posted a video in which a man can be heard trying to sing the song in a voice note. The post gathered over 77,000 likes in a month (seen below).
An October 9th, a TikTok[5] video posted by @asif17704 used the song as a punchline, gathering over 700,000 plays and 36,000 likes (seen below, right). Also on October 9th, TikToker[6] @ahsanshow posted a video about the meme being overused, gathering over 300,000 plays and 13,000 likes in a day (seen below, right).
