The "My Aunt Who's Extremely Homophobic" Copypasta is a copypasta about a homophobic aunt who is converted from her homophobic ways after seeing an attached image of two men in what could be construed as a relationship. The copypasta went viral on X (Twitter) in late February 2024 after it was shared alongside a photo of The Angry Video Game Nerd James Rolfe and the Nostalgia Critic, inspiring others to use the copypasta alongside other images.

Origin

On February 29th, 2024, X[1] user @Virtua_Neon posted a photo of James Rolfe and the Nostalgia Critic with their faces close to one another as if they're going to kiss, along with a copypasta about an aunt whose homophobia is ended after seeing the photo, garnering over 8,700 likes in four days (shown below).

The copypasta was recreated by u/iMisstheKaiser10 and posted to /r/TheCinemassacreTruth[2] on March 1st, 2024, garnering over 240 upvotes in three days. The copypasta gained some spread on X[3] over the following days. For example, on March 2nd, X[4] user @AngelicRoni posted a version of the meme that gained over 300 likes in two days (shown below).

On March 3rd, Instagram[5] user dinguz.exe posted the original meme, garnering over 500 likes in a day.
