Need Correction (Slang)

Needs Correction is the slang term used by Lolicons and Cunny fans who use the term as a stand-in for forcing themselves on them. The term, which came from an out-of-pocket post on X about a Loli, has continued to see usage, specifically within the Genshin Impact community, with people talking about "Correcting" various characters that can be found within the game.

Origin

In early 2022, the X user @dorontabi replied to a post in which they were horny on main in their outward saying that they wanted to "r*pe correct" a character for being a "damn bratty girl," quickly becoming a meme for its outward expression and usage of the word correction. This post was later shared on Imgur^[1] by an anonymous user on March 31st, 2022, where it gained over 33,000 views in two years (shown below).

Spread

The phrase "needs correction" quickly started to pick up steam within the Loli community and online as a whole. On October 21st, 2023, an Urban Dictionary^[2] definition was created by the user Le Honque which also used the similar terms Uohhhhhhhhh! 😭 and Cunny in the definition as calling out the term being used by thirsty Lolicons (shown below).

Within the Genshin Impact community, the term started to be applied to the various characters within the game, as it features many different Lolis. One character in particular who was often used with the term was Focalors, the hydro archon in the game's story. On November 13th, 2023, the Facebook^[3] page Brodakin posted a meme in which people's perspective of Focalors changed from before patch 4.2 and after, noting that pre-patch 4.2 many members of the community wanted to 'Correct' her, earning over 1,200 likes in one year (shown below).
