Neekolul vs. Belle Delphine refers to the viral stan war between fans of Belle Delphine and Neekolul following Neekolul's initial popularity in March 2020. The viral debate rose in popularity on Twitter after Neekolul posted a Hit or Miss parody causing many Belle Delphine fans to accuse Neekolul of copying her.

Origin

On March 2nd, Twitter user @neekolul posted her TikTok video performing Oki Doki Boomer causing her to go viral and almost immediately compared to Belle Delphine (shown below).

Spread

On March 26th, 2020, Twitter user @neekolul^[1] responded to the comparisons by tweeting, "I love Belle Delphine UwU that is all…" (shown below). The tweet gained over 22,700 likes and 870 retweets in five days.

On March 30th 2020, @neekolul tweeted a video of herself doing a "Hit or Miss" parody (shown below). The tweet garnered over 75,600 likes and 7,000 retweets in a day. Redditor Sushii- reposted the video to r/neekolul^[2] receiving over 90 points (95% upvoted) in a day.

Following Neekolul's post many Twitter users began accusing Neekolul of ripping off Belle Delphine even though Nyannyan Cosplay performed the dance first. Twitter user @andymelancholy tweeted a clip describing "Belle Delphine rn" which accumulated over 1,800 likes and 300 retweets in a day (shown below).

The next day, Twitter user @yessifarts^[3] tweeted a reaction image with the caption, "the horny weebs are fighting over neeko & belle delphine i CAN’T" (shown below, left). The tweet gained over 1700 likes in a day. Twitter user @Kallix_^[4] noted that Belle Delphine was trending on Twitter with a screenshot and a caption saying, "If April brings back the return of Belle Delphine then 2020 will officially be the worst fucking year in history. Deadass" (shown below, right). The tweet garnered over 3,500 likes in a day.
