About

''Nigerundayo Smokey!'' İs a memorable quote from the Japanese manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency said by the protagonist Joseph Joestar when he and his friend are running away from the character Straizo.

Origin

The original scene comes from chapter 50[1] of the manga released on December 7, 1987 which was during the events of Part 2, Battle Tendency. In the scene the protagonist Joseph Joestar is fighting a vampire named Straizo. After beating Straizo Joseph tells his friend Smokey Brown ''Nigerundayo Smokey'' (Run Smokey).

The line was reused in chapter 109,[2] where Joseph says the same line while coming up with a way to defeat the villain Kars (Cars in Japanese version). As of February 13th, 2008, the panel had already been circulating manga discussion boards such as 4chan’s /a/ (Anime and Manga) board.
