About
Nigga Lamp is a colloquial name given to the porn video "Chloe Carter's First Black Cock" in which porn actor Isiah Maxwell pretends to be a lamp to hide from his sex partner's mother. First used in memes in March 2018, in late June 2019 the video gained further notoriety due to its nickname.
Origin
On June 8th, 2016, hardcore adult site Burning Angel posted a porn video titled "Chloe Carter's First Black Cock" starring performers Chloe Carter and Isiah Maxwell.[1] In one scene of the video, Isiah Maxwell takes a shade off a floor lamp and puts it upon his head, pretending to be a lamp to avoid being noticed by Chloe Carter's mother, at which he succeeds.

Spread
On March 18th, 2018, Redditor SnoopDoge93 posted the first known meme based on a still image from the scene, gaining over 4,700 upvotes in six months (shown below, left).[2] On the same day, Redditor mujheandaywalaburger posted a similar meme to /r/dankmemes subreddit, gaining over 11,700 upvotes in the same period (shown below, right).[3]
In the following year, the still image from the scene received a moderate spread online, being shared both as is[4] and as a meme template.[5][14]
On June 16th, 2019, Twitter user @LILAFRIMANEE tweeted the scene, writing "i hate porn, she know damn well she see him" (shown below).[13] The tweet gained over 23,200 retweets and 49,500 likes in two weeks.
On June 20th, PornHub user Afivestarman uploaded the video to the website, titling it "NIGGA LAMP" (upload no longer available).[6] The video accumulated over 815,200 views within eight days, with several PornHub users reporting it appearing in their search bar recommendations.[7]
On June 25th, 2019, Redditor Zaptrix posted a screenshot of the upload hosted on PornHub to /r/PornoMemes subreddit (shown below),[8] gaining over 210 upvotes in three days. On June 25th and 26th, Redditors Danarky and LiableMammal posted more screenshots of the video to /r/comedyheaven and /r/dankmemes subreddits, receiving over 1,200 and 4,500 upvotes in three days, respectively.[9][10]
In the following days, still images from the scene gained significant popularity as meme templates on Reddit, with several notable examples appearing in /r/dankmemes.[11][12]
