"No Master, Please" is a phrase uttered in an exploitable single-panel comic that depicts an armored character weakly attempting to defend himself from a shirtless attacker. The comic received various edits online, with the attacker and its victim being depicted to resemble different ethnicities, religious groups, memes, historical and political figures.

Origin

The images comes from a 2-panel comic posted on Turkish website uludağ sözlük on October 28th, 2014 by an unknown user.^[1] The comic, named osmanlı ocakları (ottoman hearths) depicted parodically the Turkish nationalist party that praised their ancestors for being "loving and tolerant" after showing them being violent in the previous panel (shown, below).

Spread

The bottom panel of the image was cropped out and posted on 4chan's board /pol/ on February 11th, 2017, this time with the phrase commonly associated with the meme and a white cross on the wristband of the character being attacked (shown below, left).^[2] On July 1st, 2017, an anonymous /pol/ user colored the skin color of the "crusader" character pink (shown below, right).^[3]

The image was subject of recolorings, edits and redraws, usually revolving around KARA BOĞA style of posting. On November 2nd, 2018, an edit featuring Madara Uchiha and Tobirama Senju from the Naruto series was posted on /pol/ (shown below, left).^[4] On April 2020, an edit of an African American attacking a police officer was posted on r/TurkeyJerky by Redditor Spektrem0, receiving over 105 upvotes in 1 year (shown below, right).^[5]
