"No, No. You're Still Holding On! Let Go!" is a memorable quote uttered by the character Kylo Ren in the 2017 science fiction action film Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Origin
On December 15th, 2017, Disney released the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi in the United States.[1] In the film, the antagonist character Kylo Ren attempts to sway protagonist Rey (portrayed by Adam Driver and Daisey Ridley, respectively) to join him in evil. When she refuses, he says, "No, no! You're still holding on! Let go!" (clip below).
On December 24th, 2017, Redditor GatesPart9 posted the earliest known variation of the meme as an image macro in the /r/SequelMemes subreddit.[5] They captioned the post, "When you see a guy about to jump off a building." The post received more than 300 points (96% upvoted) in less than three years (shown below).

On July 16th, 2018, Redditor [2] ScorchRaserik shared a GIF of the moment with the caption "When you're walking to your car and trying to send a text, but your phone is still connected to the wifi, and since you're getting further away, it's taking forever to send because the signal's getting weaker and you just want your phone to disconnect from the wifi already and use cell data instead." The post received more than 650 points (96% upvoted) in less than two years (shown below, left).
Months later, Facebook [3] GnarlyNeoliberalMemes shared a variation with the caption "When you're talking about monetary policy and somebody brings up the Phillips curve." The post received more than 200 reactions (shown below, center).
On January 14th, 2020, Redditor[4] thejmoneyman posted a variation of the meme with the caption about RAM in a computer. the post received more than 32,000 points (98% upvoted) and 225 comments in less than six months (shown below, right).
