Oh Great Heavens refers to an edited clip of Donkey Kong approaching a plate of bananas before getting crushed by a Game Boy, causing him to say, "Oh great heavens!" The audio was later used in a myriad of TikTok lip-dub skits and other videos.
Origin
On February 8th, 2021, Twitter user @SolidusJJ posted an edited video of Donkey Kong approaching a plate of bananas before getting crushed by a Game Boy, causing him to exclaim "Oh great heavens!" in a British accent. The tweet gained over 4,500 retweets and 15,000 likes in roughly 10 months (shown below).

The video is a remake of a clip posted by YouTuber[2] Le Carlton on September 3rd, 2017 (shown below).
Spread
On February 18th, 2021, the video was reposted to YouTube[3] by SirBreadCrumbs, gaining over 51,000 views in less than a year (shown below).
On October 24th, 2021, TikToker @iivseii posted a video using the sound, gaining over 95,000 likes (shown below, left). The audio was then used in over 3,400 videos on the app[1] over the following six weeks, often used around sketches where something frightening and unnerving happens. For example, on December 1st, user @annabananaxdddd posted a sketch in which she walks in on two people having sex at a party, gaining over 558,000 likes in less than 48 hours (shown below, right).
