Olaf Animatronic Malfunction or Olaf Dying is a viral video of an AI-assisted animatronic of Olaf, the snowman from Frozen, malfunctioning during a performance at Disneyland Paris, resulting in it falling to the ground and its nose falling off. The video was uploaded by TikToker @magictourclub on March 30th, 2026, and inspired memes over the following days, many of which use Olaf's malfunction to represent a feeling of distress or depression.

In 2026, Disneyland introduced a remote-operated, AI-assisted animatronic of Olaf from Frozen to the park. On March 16th, 2026, the CNET YouTube[1] channel posted a video overview of the animatronic that gained over 200,000 views in two weeks.
On March 30th, 2026, TikToker[2] @magictourclub posted a video taken at Disneyland Paris captioned, "Pov: you waited 30 minutes to see Olaf and then this happens…" In the video, the Olaf animatronic is shown performing a show for a crowd of people. Suddenly, the animatronic stops and falls backward, causing its nose to fall off. Olaf is then led away from the crowd. The video gained over 3 million views in a day.

Also on March 30th, 2026, X[6] user @kyledxniel posted a sped-up GIF of Olaf falling, captioned, "When I randomly start thinking about the tragedy of House Atreides," a reference to the Dune series, garnering over 2,300 likes in a day.
