The original video was posted by TikToker Beni (@backwbeni) in July 2025. In the following weeks, many TikTokers used the video's sound, often lip dubbing it with captions about situations when an argument inadvertently turns into flirting.

Origin

On July 6th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @backwbeni posted a video skit of himself practicing insults before his first fight. His character stumbles over his words, saying verbatim, "Shut up! Shut up the fuck up! You want me to a- Dude, we're gonna fight right now. Open your mouth again, I'm gonna fuck it." Over 12 days, the video amassed over 3.4 million likes (shown below).

The TikTok sound^[2] of the original video by @backwbeni sparked viral use in the following weeks.

For instance, on July 9th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @alejandra.1132 posted a video with the sound, adding a caption, reading, "When you're getting yelled at by your mom but she slips up," gaining over 285,700 likes in nine days (shown below).

On July 16th, TikToker^[4] @cacatootletoo posted a video with the sound, in which she lip dubbed the audio and added a caption, reading, "Arguing with a guy who has a big Adam's apple." Her video received over 270,400 likes in two days (shown below).

By July 18th, 2025, the trend's primary TikTok sound^[2] had amassed over 5,500 posts.
