Ordering Gay Potion From the Dark Web at 3AM is a deleted viral video by YouTuber ImJaystation in which he claims to order a "gay potion" from the dark web at 3am that, after drinking it, causes his friend to make advances on him. The video was uploaded in early 2019 and went viral as a subject of mockery, with several content creators using it as an example of Jaystation's problematic content. The video's thumbnail became the subject of redraws in 2023.
Origin
On January 28th, 2019, Instagram[1] user mistagg made a post announcing a new video in which Jaystation "orders a gay potion from the dark web." The video, titled "(WE KISSED) ORDERING A GAY POTION FROM THE DARK WEB AT 3AM," has since been deleted along with Jaystation's channel, although it has been re-uploaded by other YouTubers (shown below). It gained millions of views before its deletion.
In the video, Jaystation makes one of his collaborators drink a purported "gay potion" from the dark web. The collaborator proceeds to make advances on Jaystation and act effeminate throughout the video, with Jaystation vehemently dodging him.

The video became the subject of criticism following its virality. For example, on March 7th, 2019, YouTuber[2] Jarvis Johnson posted a video criticizing it, garnering over 4 million views in five years (shown below).
On January 22nd, 2020, Instagram[3] user yourlordandsaviorpoopjesus posted a screenshot of the video's thumbnail and title, garnering over 11,000 likes in four years (shown below). Similar screenshots were posted to /r/teenagersnew[4] and /r/cursedcomments[5] in February and June of that year, garnering over 1,300 and 16,000 upvotes respectively in four years.
The thumbnail image became the subject of redraws throughout 2023. The earliest known example was posted on April 21st, 2023 by Redditor u/Schlogie to /r/TotalDrama,[6] garnering around 200 upvotes in a year. On April 23rd, X[7] user @geosmiin posted a version referencing South Park, garnering over 3,000 likes in nine months (shown below, left). On October 7th, X[8] user @mafuenareal posted a Project SEKAI redraw, garnering over 2,800 likes in three months (shown below, right).
On January 30th, 2024, X[9] user @realjuneorumo posted the original thumbnail, writing, "draw your favorite characters like this," garnering over 350 likes and 100 reposts in a day. The post inspired numerous redraws by X[10][11][12] users through the quote-reposts
