Overview

BerryQueens5 or The TikTok Wolf Family also known as TikTok Family Pretending to Be Wolves refers to the TikTok accounts of a family of women who have gone viral for several videos where they pretend to be a pack of wolves. In November 2022, they uploaded a video where the family lip dubs the lyrics "she's the alpha, she's the leader, she's the one to trust" and then runs in place and howls together on all fours like wolves, gaining over 30 million views and inspiring parodies, reactions and stories about the family.

History

TikToker @BerryQueens5 posted their first video to TikTok^[1] on May 16th, 2022. The video is about the family's dad being a "deadbeat" and is hashtagged, "#deadbeatdads" and "#domesticviolenceawareness." The account is seemingly run by "Mumma Beery," aka The Alpha, the mother of four girls who also appear in the videos, named Miraclejade (Pup in Training), Faith (the Coffee Wolf), Paige (the Moody Wolf) and Lacey (the Sassy Wolf). Their content mostly consists of lip dub videos and trend videos and content about surviving domestic abuse.

In some of their most popular videos, the family is seen acting like wolves. For example, on October 10th, 2022, the @BerryQueens5 TikTok^[2] page uploaded a video where the girls rush to the door like dogs after hearing the doorbell ring, garnering over 30,000 views in three months (shown below, left). On October 25th, the TikToker^[3] uploaded a video introducing "the pack," where each girl approaches the screen and their wolf nicknames are shown on screen, garnering over 13 million views in three months (shown below, right).

On November 6th, the TikToker^[4] uploaded a video where the whole family is seen on all fours lip dubbing to the lyrics "She's the alpha, she's the leader, she's the one to trust," from the song "We Own the Night" from Zombies 2 then running in place together, garnering over 30 million views in two months (shown below). The video inspired numerous parodies under the same original sound.^[5] On November 27th, the page uploaded a video where Mumma says they aren't wolves, but "hybrids."^[12]

The family continued to upload videos about living as a wolf pack following the video's virality to their accounts @berryqueens5 and another account @berryqueens05, including videos where they tell haters that they don't care about their opinions (popular examples shown below).

Online Presence

The Berry family's original TikTok^[9] account is @berryqueens5, boasting over 119,000 followers. On December 4th, 2022 they began a second TikTok^[10] account, @berryqueens05. Mumma Berry also has her own TikTok^[11] account @mummaberry5.

She's the Alpha, She's the Leader Reactions / Parodies

Following the virality of @berryqueens5's November 6th "she's the alpha" upload, numerous TikTokers reacted to the video and created parodies of it. On November 7th, 2022, TIkToker^[6] @oatmealz2 posted a duet to the video pretending to be a hunter, garnering over 1.1 million views in two months (shown below, left). On December 5th, TikToker^[7] @maltronco posted a parody of the video, garnering over 960,000 views in a month (shown below, right). On January 26th, 2023, Dexerto^[8] reported on the family.
