Digital Mormon (@digitalmormon) is a content creator that posts videos primarily featuring a pixelated man dressed up like a Mormon missionary dancing in various 8-bit, pixelated or Minecraft-inspired environments. The TikTok and Instagram pages for @digitalmormon began posting videos in early 2023, garnering attention as the account spread in early 2024.
Online History
The TikTok[1] page @digitalmormon posted its first video on February 11th, 2023, showing a pixelated man dressed in a white shirt and black slacks dancing to Daft Punk's song "Get Lucky" in front of some yellow curtains. The video gathered over 20,000 plays and 5,000 likes in a year (seen below, left).
The page's first post to cross 100,000 views was posted on February 11th as well, showing the "Digital Mormon" dancing to the "Club Penguin Pizza Parlour Theme," gathering over 240,000 views and 61,000 likes in a year (seen below, right).[2]

On February 16th, 2023, TikToker[3] @dylan_crosby posted a video of who appears to be Digital Mormon, showing unpixelated footage of a man posing in front of a green screen. The video gathered over 19,000 plays in a year (seen below).

Digital Mormon continued to post videos in 2023, with an April 10th, 2023, post showing him dancing in various Minecraft scenes gathering over 400,000 plays and 100,000 likes in a year (seen below, left).[4] The TikToker also began taking song requests to dance to, as seen in a May 9th post in which he dances to a Death Grips song on request, gathering over 12,000 plays and 1,800 likes in a year (seen below, right).[5]

While Digital Mormon also posted his TikTok videos on Instagram, he also posted memes and images featuring himself. A December 17th, 2023, post[8] showed a pixelated Digital Mormon laying face down on his bed, a bouquet of pixelated flowers lying on the floor beside him. The post gathered over 3,000 likes in five months (seen below, left).
A January 17th, 2024, post[9] showed Digital Mormon edited into a meme showing people playing Uno and a Snapchat caption that reads, "If we lose we get baptized, and if they lose they go out drinking with us." The post gathered over 8,000 likes in three months (seen below, right).

As of April 2024, Digital Mormon has over 49,000 TikTok followers and over 60,000 Instagram[6] followers. An X / Twitter[7] account created in February 2024 has over 300 followers.
