Kaan Özdil, also known as Angry Turkish Man, is a content creator whose TikTok videos of him acting excessively nationalistic for Turkey and anti-American became popular in 2020.

Online History

Özdil’s Instagram account, theozzdil, was created around December 2013, with his first post^[1] dating to August 12th, 2014. His TikTok account was made before February 2020, but it disappeared sometime in early 2021. On the account, Özdil had approximately 1.4 million followers and 27 million likes.^[2]

On February 1st, 2020, Özdil posted his first TikTok^[3] video. In it, he accentuated On the 4th, he found his first major success with a TikTok^[4] talking about Turkey and America. This was followed up on the 9th with a TikTok^[5] in which he breaks an iPhone and pulls out an Turkish flag. Several videos with him wearing aTurkey shirt or displaying a Turkish flag followed. On March 1st, he posted a TikTok^[6] in which he emerges from a Turkish flag-covered car wearing a Turkey shirt that gained over 3.8 million views in nine months. YouTube videos uploaded by KARMAKARIŞIK shows many of Özdil's now-unavailable TikToks.

In the middle of May, Özdil began uploading^[9] a series of videos to TikTok in which he does rooftop skits and experiments with food and elephant toothpaste.
