PayMoneyWubby is the name of a YouTuber and Twitch streamer who has been actively making gaming-related content for over a decade. Starting out as a gameplay with commentary-oriented content creator, Wubby, the preferred shortening of his name, started to branch out into variety content since joining Twitch in 2018. Starting in 2023, Wubby has also ventured into card game content with a secondary channel and stream schedule, revolving entirely around Magic the Gathering.

Career

Going by 'PayMoneyWubby' since his early online start, Wubby has been uploading gameplay commentary videos since early 2013, starting off with Call of Duty and Far Cry 3 related videos. Though much of his early content has been deleted, on November 22nd, 2021, the Redditor u/iliekpixels^[1] uploaded a video of Wubby playing Far Cry 3 that was reported to have been originally uploaded around April of 2013, during which Wubby refers to previous videos (shown below).

Online History

Several years after his initial wave of content, the official PayMoneyWubby YouTube channel started to upload videos again, with his first video^[2] being a Fourth of July special video uploaded on July 4th, 2016. This video, which was titled 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! 4th of July Special' featured Wubby in patriotic attire while wearing a Make America Great Again Hat and playing America-themed games, earning over 63,000 views in eight years (shown below).

According to TwitchTracker^[3], one of Wubby's earliest streams was of him playing Civilization V on January 19th, 2018, with a stream titled 'man streams because comments told him to' referring to his YouTube comments from his previously uploaded content. The stream lasted just under four hours and had an average viewership of 52 people, while gaining over 124 followers for future streams.

Throughout the years, Wubby has branched out his streams and content from being focused on gaming to doing variety, including baking, internet challenges, game shows, and reacting to news and viral drama, while drastically increasing his subscriber account and doing sub-a-thons for multiple weeks in a row of continuous streaming. On March 12th, 2023, this culminated in Wubby being nominated and winning the Streamer Award for 'Streamer's Streamer' in which the other streamers in attendance voted for him as their favorite streamer. The video of his award acceptance was uploaded to the official Streamer Awards^[4] channel that same day (shown below).
