Overview

PowEnvy is a Roblox streamer on Twitch and a TikToker known best for his "Cleaning My Room as a Roblox Streamer" videos where he cleans his messy, roach-infested bedroom, resembling a neckbeard nest. Powenvy started pursuing a streaming career in 2019 and gained virality on TikTok in September 2023 after a video of him cleaning his room went viral, inspiring him to continue making similar content and appear on other streamers' broadcasts.

Online History

While PowEnvy hosted his first Twitch^[1] livestream in 2014, he began to seriously pursue a streaming career on Twitch^[2] on November 9th, 2019, when he streamed Roblox for the first time. On March 25th, 2021, PowEnvy began uploading video to the @powenvy TikTok^[3] page. On June 16th, 2021, he uploaded a clip to TikTok^[4] from one of xQc's streams where he runs him over while playing Grand Theft Auto V online, garnering over 260,000 views in two years (shown below).

Cleaning My Room as a Roblox Streamer

Throughout 2022, PowEnvy started to focus his TikTok content on showing the day-to-day life of a Roblox streamer, often showing off his messy room. On November 29th, 2022, he uploaded a video to TikTok^[5] showing his room, garnering over 230,000 views in a year (shown below, left). On December 19th, the TikToker^[6] uploaded a video captioned "cleaning my room as a Roblox streamer," explaining how he cleans his room, garnering over 4.1 million views in 10 months (shown below, right). On March 22nd, he uploaded another room cleaning video to TikTok,^[7] garnering over 146,000 views in seven months.

On August 31st, the TikToker^[8] uploaded another room cleaning video, this time also showing off a roach trap with several dead roaches in it, claiming that he doesn't believe the roach problem is because of him, just that they're invasive, garnering over 191,000 views in two months (shown below, left).

On September 6th, X^[9] user @DramaAlert, run by Keemstar, posted the video, writing, "Roblox streamer cleans her room. 🤢🤮" garnering over 39,400 likes in a month. That day, PowEnvy posted a response on TikTok^[10] criticizing Keemstar for calling him a woman, garnering over 137,000 views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

Daily Routine Video, Chief Keef Comment, Appearance WIth Yusuf7n

PowEnvy continued to gain popularity on TikTok throughout late 2023. On September 10th, 2023, he posted a video to TikTok^[11] showing his daily routine, garnering over 2 million views in a month (shown below). That day, TikToker^[12] @screedi posted a video reacting to the upload. On September 18th, he posted a video to TikTok^[13] claiming he found a rat in his room (shown below). On September 21st, he posted a video to TikTok^[21] showing a comment on one of his videos where rapper Chief Keef told him to clean his room, garnering over 700,000 views in a month.

On September 25th, PowEnvy posted two videos to TikTok^[14][15] of himself streaming with Twitch streamer Yusuf7n, where he shows Yusuf his roaches and claims that he's slept with about five women and has no trouble getting girlfriends, garnering over 3 million and 744,000 views respectively in a month (shown below, left and right).

Continued Success Of "Cleaning My Room as a Roblox Streamer"

On September 26th, 2023, PowEnvy uploaded another room cleaning video to TikTok,^[16] garnering over 5.4 million views in three weeks (shown below). On September 27th, X^[17] user @DramaAlert shared another of PowEnvy's cleaning videos, again misgendering him, writing, "Roblox streamer showing off her room yet again. 🤢🤮" garnering over 22,700 likes in three weeks. A community note was added to the post correcting his gender and PowEnvy responded with another TikTok^[18] video asking Keemstar to stop misgendering him.

On September 30th, PowEnvy posted a video to TikTok^[19] where he cleans his room because a girl is coming over, garnering over 23 million views in three weeks (shown below, left). The next day, he posted a video to TIkTok^[20] claiming she stood him up, garnering over 2 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

Online Presence

PowEnvy streams on Twitch (powenvy), with over 17,000 followers. He also has accounts on Instagram (powenvy) with over 41,000 followers and TikTok (@powenvy) with over 130,000 followers.

As PowEnvy's popularity increased in late 2023, people began reacting to his videos online and making content about him. On September 11th, 2023, YouTuber^[22] AugustTheDuck posted a video about PowEnvy, garnering over 730,000 views in a month (shown below).

On October 1st, TikToker^[23] Joe Bartolozzi posted a video reacting to one of PowEnvy's videos where he finds a roach on his toothbrush, garnering over 2.6 million views in two weeks (shown below).
