About
Pyoro Leaks refers to unreleased information about Nintendo and its video games routinely leaked by X / Twitter user @Pyoro_X. Named after a repeating bird character in WarioWare, Pyoro gathered a reputation for frequently and accurately leaking upcoming releases and other information about Nintendo properties on X / Twitter in the early 2020s. Pyoro is also known for telling inaccurate leakers to "delete" their accounts.
History
@Pyoro_X joined X / Twitter in March 2021 and began posting leaked information about video games in September 2022.[1] His earliest notable leaks were posted in June 2023, foreshadowing the release of the titles Everybody 1-2 Switch[2] and Sonic Superstars (shown below).[3]
Pyoro also leaked the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game set to be announced at the June 2023 Nintendo Direct, as seen in a series of cryptic posts made on June 19th[4] and June 21st,[5] gathering over 1,00 and 4,000 likes, respectively, in roughly eight months (seen below).
Pyoro continued to post leaks on his X account @Pyoro_X in 2023 and 2024, alluding to Mario Vs. Donkey Kong in a September 8th, 2023, post[6] that gathered over 13,000 likes in four months and joking about Nintendo having "Games" in general in a September 9th post[7] that gathered over 13,000 likes in a similar timeframe (shown below).
In February 2024, Pyoro continued his practice of telling false leakers to "delete" their accounts, as seen in a February 16th, 2024, post that gathered over 6,000 likes in a week (seen below, left).[8] The user also posted a series of cryptic tweets about an upcoming partner showcase that he is "not excited" about (seen below, right).[9]
Online Presence
Gamers on the internet began making memes about @Pyoro_X soon after news about the accuracy of his leaks spread in June 2023. For example, on September 11th, 2023, X[10] user @NataliiSpeaks posted a meme about Nintendo officials putting out a hit on Pyoro for his accurate leaks, gathering over 30,000 likes in five months (seen below, left).
On September 14th, X[11] user @SuperSquidoodle wrote, "Pyoro's banner, to this day, is genuinely the funniest fucking thing ever because that literally is his source and it checks out every time." The post gathered over 15,000 likes in eight months (seen below, right).
A January 1st, 2024, post on the /r/GamingLeaksandRumours[12] subreddit saw Pyoro listed as one of the candidates for "Leaker of the Year."
