About

QuackityHQ is a Youtuber known for his series of comedic gaming videos which include raiding other games, including Roblox and Habbo Hotel. He is also known for his comentary videos about other online communities, like Twitter groups or Discord servers.

History

The QuackityHQ Youtube channel was started on June 3rd, 2013[1] and initially started uploading content around the online game Toontown, with the first video on channel titled "Toontown – The Typical HQ Officer" uploaded the same day. He largely uploaded Toontown-related videos using text to speech, but in March 2014, he uploaded his first "SUCKS" video ranting about Club Penguin[3]. While he would continue to make Toontown videos for many more months, he would slowly transition to parodies of other video games with his "SUCKS" series[4], while alao doing rants on topics like YouTube drama. His Roblox and later Overwatch videos would gain a lot of attention. It would be in his TOONTOWN SUCKS video from 2016 that he would go from a text-to-speech format to a voice-based one[5].

He would continue his SUCKS series, while transitioning away from rant and parody videos, and towards gaming and streaming videos. He would do live raids of Habbo Hotel[6] and Club Penguin Island[7]. These raids would be common in 2017 and 2018. His content shifted away from rant videos and towards gaming, commentary, reactions, contests with his fans, and interacting with other online groups (like online games or Discord servers).

Discord Ban

On December of 2018, Quackity released his "AWFUL FURRY DISCORD SERVERS" video[8]. A month later (January 2019), he released a video titled "I GOT BANNED FROM DISCORD"[9], where he explains how he was banned from Discord for making his video on the furries on the site.

In the words of Newsweek, "One YouTuber . . . was QuackityHQ . . . Quackity’s Discord account was banned on January 1 for violating a ToS regarding "raids" on Discord. Quackity claims he violated no such rule, as Animal Jam isn't a part of Discord. Instead, he believes that he was banned for a video he made that mocked people on a furry roleplay server"[2]. This incident was what started the #ChangeDiscord against the furry admins.

In the same month, he released "DISCORD RESPONDED TO MY VIDEO"[10].
