About

Satoyu0704, also known as Satoyu (さとゆ), is a Japanese TikToker most known for his TikTok Live presence in which he wears a suit and walks to phonk music, resembling anime protagonists. Satoyu was ironically nicknamed the Ohio Final Boss due to three factors: him saying "Ohayo" (which means "Good morning" in Japanese) during his streams, the popularity of Ohio memes on TikTok and the "Final Boss" trend started by the Romanian Final Boss. Satoyu as the "Ohio Final Boss" is often pinned against TikToker Don Pollo, who's known as the "King of Ohio," in powerscaling memes across TikTok. Due to his new nickname, he embraced the concept and started saying "Made in Ohio" in his streams. Eventually, the lore spread to TikToker @Natuecoco who was dubbed the Ohio Queen.

Online History

Satoyu, or さとゆ in Japanese, uploaded his first TikTok[1] on March 21st, 2020, gaining roughly 938,800 plays and 51,200 likes in two years (shown below, left). It's most likely that Satoyu uploaded videos prior to this one, however, as of November 2022, it is the first, still accessible video. During the same month, Satoyu's Instagram[2] presence also started. A month prior, in February 2020, he created his YouTube[3] channel. On March 29th, 2020, Satoyu posted a TikTok[4] that was his first to reach over 1 million plays, gaining roughly 2 million plays and 130,800 likes in two years (shown below, right).

Ohio Final Boss

In early 2022, Satoyu became known on TikTok for his TikTok Lives. For instance, on January 25th, 2022, he posted a TikTok[5] that was his first recording of a TikTok Live, gaining roughly 1.1 million plays and 45,500 likes in 10 months. At the time, the majority of the comments in Satoyu's comment section were written in Japanese, however, this eventually changed as Satoyu became known as the "Ohio Final Boss" in Enligh-speaking meme circles.

This shift occurred in late October 2022 when Satoyu took on a new theme during his Lives in which he'd dramatically walk in place to phonk music. English-speaking TikTokers who came across his frequent Lives started spamming Ohio-related comments, predominantly related to the spam comment trend on the platform associated with the Only In Ohio 💀 trend. The "Only In Ohio 💀" then mixed with the then-recent Romanian Final Boss trend and the popularity of TikToker Don Pollo, aka the "King of Ohio." Also, Satoyu would say "Ohayo" in his streams which means "Good morning."

The first known TikToker to dub Satoyu the "Ohio Final Boss" in a video was TikToker[6] llonlyohioll on October 24th, 2022, gaining roughly 43,100 plays and 2,100 likes in 11 days (shown below, left). On October 25th, 2022, TikToker[7] .jziyah posted a similar video with, "Final boss in ohio 💀" as the caption, gaining roughly 17,100 plays and 550 likes in 10 days (shown below, right).
