About

Auto-tune the news / Schmoyoho is a series of viral videos on YouTube, created by the musical group The Gregory Brothers, that creatively edits and adds auto-tuning to news broadcast, to create a song.

History

Auto-Tune the News encourages their viewers to recreate their videos, with the incentive of linking the best video responses as annotations at the end of the video. This elicits many different remixes, from piano adaptations to dances.

After the release of the Bed Intruder Song, the Gregory Brother's popularity soared and they started auto-tuning other popular viral videos, such as Double Rainbow. Some of their songs went on to be big hits on the iTunes charts.
