Sister Squad is a group of four YouTuber friends, Grayson and Ethan Dolan, Emma Chamberlain and "James Charles":. They frequently vlog together on each other's channels.

Online History

On June 2nd, 2018, James Charles posted a photo to Twitter of all four members hanging out for presumably the first time all together (shown below). The tweet gained 4,973 retweets and 64,650 likes in under a year.

On October 25th, YouTuber Heard Well posted an interview with James Charles and asked about how the Sister Squad Came to be (shown below). Charles answered,

“Me and the Dolans met from me literally leaving thirsty comments on their Instagram pictures, so that was fun because they’re the best,” the 19-year-old said. “They actually reached out me to last Halloween and asked me to do their Halloween makeup. We hit it off really quick once they realized I’m not crazy! We just clicked really quickly. They grew up only an hour away from my hometown and we vacationed in some of the same places when we were younger. They’re very, very business focused, strong-willed kids and we just have a lot of the same values and they’ve been truly amazing friends of mine […] Emma I met literally through YouTube, she talked about me in a few of her videos and stuff and I had DM’ed her,” Jame said. “She was moving to L.A. so we FaceTimed one night about her moving here, and I wanted to give her advice and stuff and we ended up talking for like seven hours. Once she moved here, her and I worked together, and Ethan and Grayson just came over and thus was born the sister squad, the most iconic group ever of YouTube.”

On June 19th, 2018, The Sister Squad uploaded a different video featuring the group to each of their separate channels (shown below). James Charles' video accumulated over 21 million views and Chamberlains gained over 17 million in a year.

On August 28th, 2018 Emma Chamberlain uploaded "ROADTRIP TO VEGAS FT DOLAN TWINS & JAMES CHARLES" which gained the most views, 21,578,000 in a year (shown below, left). On December 25th, 2018, James Charles uploaded the second most popular with over 10 million views (shown below, right).

Sister Split Rumor

On February 4th, Emma Chamberlain unfollowed the Sister Squad and almost all other accounts. She took to Instagram to confirm that she wasn't hacked and there was no drama involved she just wanted to declutter her social media. ^[2]She is still very much apart of the Sister Squad. Later that day, James Charles poked fun at her on Twitter^[4] (shown below).
