We Are Fucked And Nobody Seems To Care, also known as James Charles Presidential Debate Video, is an exploitable video from influencer James Charles in which he says the phrase "We are fucked and nobody seems to care" regarding the 2024 CNN Presidential Debate. The video was turned into a green screen exploitable in June 2024 on TikTok, being mainly used in jokes about overreacting to something.

Origin

On June 28th, 2024, the influencer James Charles uploaded a video^[1] (shown below) ranting about Joe Biden's performance during the 2024 CNN Presidential Debate. In a particular moment of the video, Charles says "We are fucked and nobody seems to care," which later on was edited into several memes and jokes on TikTok. The video amassed over 19 million plays and 3.5 million likes in a week.

Shortly after Charles' video went viral on TikTok, the clip started to be used as exploitable for jokes about overreacting and being dramatic. For example, on June 29th, 2024, TikToker^[2] @mindfullynumb_ used Charles' Presidential Debate video paired with the captions "the sun will explode in 8 billion years" and "9-year-old me:" as the reaction about the exploding sun. The video (seen below, left) received more than 7 million plays and 1.8 million likes in a week.

On July 3rd, 2024, TIkToker^[3] @volarevia15 used the viral clip as a reaction to the caption "me when I google my symptoms and it says I have every single kind of cancer possible." The video (seen below, right) amassed roughly 1 million plays and 139,000 likes in five days.
