SSSniperWolf is the YouTube alias of Alia "Lia" Shelesh, an English video game streamer and YouTuber. She rose to prominence on YouTube through her Call of Duty videos, but as she garnered millions of followers, SSSniperWolf began posting other forms of content, including vlogs, DIY and reaction videos.
History
On January 24th, 2013, SSSniperWolf uploaded their first video to YouTube, "BO2 Fails + Funnies #1." The video, a compilation of Call of Duty: Black Ops II fails, received more than 350,000 views in less than eight years.
Roughly 2 weeks later, SSSniperWolf posted the video "BO2 107-9 + Rage + Facecam." In the clip, she responded to the criticism that, despite being named "SssniperWolf," she only uses a shotgun in gameplay. The YouTuber explained that she took the name from the video game Metal Gear Solid, which features a character named
"Sniper Wolf." The video received more than 214,000 views in less than eight years (shown below, left).
By the end of 2013, she posted her first video to reach 1 million views. The video "Playstation 4 Unboxing + Add Me On PS4! (PS4) received more than 1.5 million views (shown below, right).
On May 11th, 2014, she posted the video "Ask Wolf #47 – Sexy Photoshoot, Raging, New Bugatti," which received more than 2 million views (shown below).
The following year, SSSniperWolf shared her most popular video as of December 2020. The video "Touch My Body Challenge" features Shelesh and her boyfriend touching each other with their eyes closed. The post received more than 90 million views in less than six years (shown below, left).
Within one year of publishing the touch my body challenge, SSSniperWolf Shifted her interest to more reaction style videos and locks. The format change garnered her more views and followers. For example, on November 4, 2017, she published a video call "Crazy Fans Who Went Too Far." The video features reactions to videos of fans admiring celebrities through extreme behavior. The video received more than 23 million views in less than four years (shown below, right).
On December 1st, 2020, YouTube Released a list of the top trending videos and creators of 2020. The company ranked SSSniperWolf number 4 in the top creators in the U.S.[2]
Personal Life
Born in the United Kingdom, Alia Shelesh moved with her parents to the United States at age 6. She is the sister of streamer Iced Cowfee.[1]
