Overview

The Kebab Guy or Abu Ali Al Zargani is a kebab restaurant (Kebab Abu Ali) owner from Sydney, Australia who posted on the humor website 9gag that he would give free meals to any user of the site who went to his restaurant. Shortly after posting, the place got flooded with 9gag users, spawning several jokes about Zargani loosing money over the stunt, while also starting several criticisms to people who would exploit Zargani's offer by coming several times to his restaurant. The Kebab Guy was recently banned from 9gag for an unknown reason.

The Kebab Guy is offering a full menu for 9gaggers.[8]

Notable Developments

At least 1500 9gaggers had come to the restaurant before 1 October 2016. A total of 3000 9gaggers have come to the restaurant as of 29 December 2016. The_kebab_guy is receiving over 500 notifications per minute.[7]

According to zargani, on 24 September, some coward 9gaggers smashed both of his cars because imposters on 9gag were spamming and everyone thought it was him.[9] Zargani got his front windshield repaired for his first vlog filmed on 18 October.[10] The same day, zargani invited everyone for free food on 22 October 2016.[11]

In October 2016, zargani's 9gag accounts @the_kebab_guy and the other one were banned, because he was promoting peace and love, according to him.[11] As of 3 December, 9gag admins have banned his other account @zargani_tkg, and @zargani_is_back which he used to make a post unrelated to kebab but still got banned:[12]
