u m a m i is a Canadian animator known for his distinct drawing aesthetic and surreal YouTube videos which often feature nonhuman characters talking in deep voices.
History
U m a m i started his channel on September 14th, 2017.[1] His earliest video, posted that day, gained over 290,000 views (shown below, left). His earliest video to crack a million views was "Thomas the Thermonuclear Bomb," which was posted January 16th, 2018, gaining over 2.8 million views (shown below, right).
U m a m i has also made several videos inspired by topical memes, though with a surreal twist. For example, he has videos which riff on topics like 30 Year-Old Boomer (shown below, left) and Big Smoke's Order (shown below, right).
U m a m i has also had several animations featured on Adult Swim (shown below).
