Varis Gilaj, also known as the ASU Frat Leader, is a fitness influencer and looksmaxxer who went viral in 2026 after appearing in a video where viewers joked that his wider physical build and posture visually dominated streamer Clavicular in the same camera frame, a dynamic referred to as "frame mogging."

Varis began posting content on TikTok in January 2024 and gained over 150,000 followers over the next two years. In mid-2025, fitness influencer Joey Swoll posted a video calling out Gilaj and his friends for filming themselves flexing in a gym locker room and capturing footage of an elderly man in the background.

In February 2026, after the frame mogging video went viral, online interest in Varis increased, resulting in posts and memes about Varis. That month, fitness influencer Androgenic allegedly travelled to America to find Varis and frame mog him to claims his status as the "number one Chad."

History

Varis Gliaj began posting fitness content on his TikTok^[1] page, @v.varis, on January 20th, 2024. His earliest videos show him in the gym flexing and showing off his gains.

On September 6th, 2024, Varis posted his first set of photos showing off his build on his Instagram^[2] page, varisgilaj, garnering over 1,000 likes in about two years.

Gilaj uploaded numerous videos with hundreds of thousands to millions of views on TikTok through 2024 and 2025, most of which involve him and his friends flexing their muscles. For example, on March 15th, 2025, he posted a video on TikTok^[3] flexing in a locker room that gained over 875,000 views in a year.

Joey Swoll Video

On May 14th, 2025, fitness influencer Joey Swoll posted a video on Instagram^[4] where he calls out Varis and his friends for a now-deleted video of them flexing in the locker room with an elderly man behind them. Swoll criticizes them for including the man, believing that they're making fun of him. Swoll says it is illegal for them to film in the locker room and indirectly encourages viewers to find the gym, call them and get Gilaj and his friends kicked out. The video gained over 125,000 likes in nine months.

Clavicular Frame Mogged by ASU Frat Leader

On February 5th, 2026, Clavicular hosted an IRL Kick^[5] stream from ASU. During the stream, he attended a frat party. About three hours into the stream, Clavicular goes into a frat house to try and briefly get away from the crowd. At the 3:08:00 timestamp, Clavicular takes a selfie with Varis, the so-called "ASU frat leader." Clavicular comments, "You got me by a lot, I stopped gyming."^[6]

On February 6th, X^[7] user @biggerboy111 posted the clip of Clavicular meeting Varis, writing, "Clavicular ran into a frat leader at ASU and got brutally frame mogged by him👀😂," garnering over 18,000 likes, 1,600 reposts and 13.5 million views in three days. This post earned Varis the nickname "ASU Frat Leader."

Online Presence

On February 11th, 2026, X^[8] user @katwgws posted a photo of Gilaj, writing, "clavicular is fine but i am increasingly fascinated by his mysterious rival, asu frat leader," garnering over 23,000 likes in a day.

On February 12th, X^[9] user @Kick_Champ posted a clip of looksmaxxer Androgenic walking down the street. The caption reads, "#2 ranked CHAD Androgenic has LANDED in AMERICA and is actively SEARCHING for the ASU FRAT LEADER who FRAME MOGGED Clavicular 👀." The post garnered over 7,200 likes in under a day. It is unconfirmed if the claim about Androgenic seeking out Gliaj is true.
