Jordan Barrett Looksmaxxing, also known as Jordan Barrett Mogging, refers to a series of video memes about male supermodel Jordan Barrett that portray him as the embodiment of Looksmaxxing, Mogging and Mewing, among other Lookism slang terms. Jordan Barrett memes started on TikTok in mid-2023, trending after the precursor Mike O'Hearn 'Baby Don't Hurt Me' memes that were structurally similar, in that, they made Barrett a so-called Literally Me Guy. Barrett memes also involved fellow male model Francisco Lachowski, also known as Chico. Jordan Barrett edits and memes predominantly used sped-up and slowed phonk music that was trendy at the time, such as 'ecstacy' by SUICIDAL-IDOL.

Origin

Currently, the earliest-known looksmaxxing meme about Jordan Barrett was posted by TikToker^[1] @oxydreamyy on June 26th, 2023. The video used a Lil Peep song and joked about "Me listening to what she's saying acting mysterious and hot (She thinks I'm autistic)." Over five months, the video received roughly 424,500 plays and 50,400 likes (shown below).

Soon after, others started posting edits featuring similar captions and Barrett videos. For instance, on June 29th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @userrrr101922 posted an edit of Barrett, comparing his changes throughout the years, gaining over 5.8 million plays and 263,600 likes in five months (shown below, left). On June 30th, TikToker^[3] @oxydreamyy followed up on his first video, receiving roughly 2.5 million plays and 132,500 likes with the new meme over five months (shown below, right).

Roughly a month later, on July 22nd, 2023, TikToker^[4] @trenplug posted a meme about "mogging" and Canthal Tilt that included a Barrett video, earning over 1.1 million plays and 185,300 likes in four months (shown below, left). On July 23rd, TikToker^[5] @trenplug posted another Barrett meme referencing "mewing" that used the song "ecstacy" by SUICIDAL-IDOL, gaining over 1.1 million plays and 172,400 likes during the same timeframe (shown below, right).

The trend continued going into late 2023, eventually including videos of fellow male model Francisco Lachowski, also known as Chico. For instance, on November 5th, 2023, TikToker^[6] @interstellarbe humorously compared both Barrett and Lachowski to GigaChad, receiving over 4.5 million plays and 534,900 likes in 11 days (shown below, left).

On November 12th, 2023, TikToker^[7] @rohat.c posted a video that was taken in the U.K. showing Barrett in a store with him. In the video, Barrett joked about mogging the TikToker and his friends. Over four days, the video received roughly 1.8 million plays and 264,900 likes (shown below, right).
