Pimp Lucius TikTok Remakes refers to remakes of Chapter 24 from R&B singer R. Kelly's Trapped In The Closet musical, where Sylvester and Twan encounter Pimp Lucius, typically made using game characters like Roblox and Papa's Gameria. The videos follow the dialogue, "Wait a minute / Aw look at this here / Pimp Lucius / You know I gets my pimpin on."

Origin

R Kelly released Chapter 24 of his Trapped In The Closet^[1] soap opera on IFC in 2012. The chapter contained a section where Sylvester and Twan encounter Pimp Lucius and sing the following lines;

"Wait a minute / Aw look at this here / Pimp Lucius / You know I gets my pimpin' on / Yeah I be pimpin' all these hoes."

In late April of 2024, TikTokers^[2] began recreating the aforementioned scene from Chapter 24 of Trapped In The Closet_, with @daofficial.k posting the earliest known video and sound used in the trend (seen below). The post gathered over 1 million plays and 280,000 likes in a month (seen below).

Other TikTokers made videos set to the segment from Trapped In The Closet in subsequent weeks, including @shaxyx._,^[3] who gathered over 9 million views and 2 million likes on a May 5th, 2024 post (seen below, left) and @monte2much,^[4] whose May 9th, 2024 video gathered over 8 million views and 1 million likes in three weeks (seen below, right).

In May 2024, various TikTokers also began making videos set to the sound using various video game characters, including TikToker^[5] @wtfterrii, whose Roblox video gathered over 3 million plays and 600,000 likes since it was posted on May 6th, 2024 (seen below).

As the month progressed, many TikTokers began sharing videos using characters from Papa's Gameria, with TikToker^[6] @starlightv7 posting a Papa's and Hamilton themed video on May 22nd, gathering over 4 million plays and 900,000 likes in a week (seen below, right).
