About

Princess Daisy Hot Stuff Pose refers to an animation of the character Princess Daisy in which she puts her thumb on her posterior, taken from the 2005 sports video game Super Mario Strikers. An image of Daisy striking the pose, taken from behind, gained viral spread online throughout the 2010s and early 2020s, becoming the subject of fan art, redraws and memes. In July 2024, the image became the significant subject of redraws on X / Twitter.

Origin

In the 2005 video game Super Mario Strikers, Princess Daisy has a celebratory animation in which she puts her thumb on her posterior as if to say she's "too hot" (shown below). Her saying "Hot Stuff" was added in sequels to the game.

One of the earliest known pieces of fan art with the pose was posted on August 9th, 2010, to DeviantArt by user Princesa-daisy,[1] gaining over 1,200 favorites in 14 years (shown below).
