Rick And Jerry Rotoscope Dance refers to a viral video featuring a man doing 2017-era dance moves before a rotoscoped animated effect briefly turns him into Jerry and then Rick from the Adult Swim television show Rick and Morty. The earliest known rotoscoped Rick and Morty dance video was posted to Adult Swim's TikTok[1] account on July 14th, 2020, gathering over 260,000 plays and 37,000 likes in three years (seen below).

On May 5th, 2021, YouTuber[2] @ayyyple posted a different rotoscoped animation featuring both Jerry and Rick that appears to have been filmed at the same location, claiming to have found the original on an adult site. The post gathered over 19,000 views in two years.



On July 12th, 2022, Adult Swim's official Facebook[3] page posted the rotoscoped Rick and Jerry animation, using it to promote a festival in Philadelphia.

The video continued to make an appearance online in subsequent years, often with different music or in different contexts. On July 23rd, 2023, TikToker[4] @decsoggy reposted the clip, gathering over 750,000 plays and 110,000 likes in six months (seen below, left). On July 28th, 2023, TikToker[5] @poobiewoobie_figs reposted the clip using the We All Want A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle song, gathering over 300,000 plays and 50,000 likes in six months (seen below, right).
