Rodolffo Perna Fina (English: "Rodolffo's Skinny Legs") refers to a photograph of the Brazilian country singer Rodolffo in which he is sitting in a beauty salon, with the difference between the muscles of the singer's arms and legs drawing attention on social media. The picture went viral on May 2023 and inspired Photoshop memes distorting Rodolffo's body, with most of them being shared on Instagram and Twitter.
Origin
On May 31st, 2023, Brazilian singer Rodolffo[1] posted a video on Instagram Stories sitting in a beauty salon. Shortly after the video was posted, his followers noticed a difference in the size of the singer's arms and leg muscles. A screenshot of the video was uploaded on the same day on Twitter[2] by the entertainment page @siteptbr, receiving 13,500 likes and 2,400 retweets in three days (seen below).
Spread
The image of the Brazilian singer was widely spread by gossip and entertainment pages on social media, instigating people to create Photoshop versions of the picture distorting Rodolffo's body. For example, on June 1st, 2023, Twitter[3] user @vnenav responded to a tweet using a distorted image of the singer with skinnier legs (seen below), which garnered 15,800 likes and 1,300 retweets in one day.
Rodolffo's Response
On June 1st, 2023, the Brazilian singer posted an Instagram Reels[4] reacting to a TV news anchor mocking him and later showing off his leg muscles. The video (seen below) garnered 264,000 likes in one day.
