Ruth Bader Ginsburg Chair refers to a photoshopped image of the former Supreme Court Justice of the United States Ruth Bader Ginsburg in which an office chair replaces her legs. The image went viral in early 2019 as part of a cursed image meme, resurfacing as a Halloween costume joke in October 2024.

On February 18th, 2019, TMZ[1] shared a photo of former Supreme Court Justice of the United States Ruth Bader Ginsburg in D.C. at Reagan National Airport wearing a big grey coat while being accompanied by security officers. (seen below)
The earliest photoshopped version of Bader's photo was posted on Facebook on March 21st, 2019, by the Cursed Images[2] page, which edited Ruth's legs and replaced them with an office chair (seen below). The image amassed over 2,800 likes and 2,400 reposts in five years.

Bader's photoshopped image was widely shared as a cursed meme on the internet over the years, resurfacing in mid-October 2024, after TikTok[3] influencer and podcaster Enya Umanzor shared a video on October 25th, 2024, of her Halloween costume alongside Drew Phillips, who's dressed as the Ruth Bader Ginsburg chair meme. The video (seen below) amassed more than 3.8 million plays and 818,000 likes in a day.
