On July 3rd, 2024, the official YouTube^[1] channel TWIN ENGINE uploaded a clear version of the opening song and video for Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan. The video received over 14 million views in two weeks (shown below).

Spread

Starting in early July 2024, the anime's opening began inspiring various edits and remixes. For example, on July 3rd, 2024, Facebook^[2] user Serenium Rajh uploaded an edit of the anime opening as a bait-and-switch media, adding the Paket Phoenix IndiHome edit. The video received more than 3,800 reactions and 5,700 shares in two weeks (shown below).

On July 7th, 2024, Twitter / X^[3] user @MoriMoori uploaded an edit of the opening that added a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure clip. The video received more than 18,000 reposts and 123,000 likes in one week (shown below, top). On July 9th, 2024, Twitter / X^[4] user @wao_1224 uploaded an edit by adding a video from a Yakuza video game. The video received more than 36,000 reposts and 167,000 likes in one week (shown below, bottom).

On July 12th, 2024, YouTuber LittleVMills uploaded a metal cover version of the opening to both his YouTube^[5] and Twitter^[6] account. The video received more than 1.5 million views, and 54,000 reposts and 217,000 likes in five days, respectively (shown below). The next day, the Nokotan voice actor, Han Megumi, quote retweeted LittleVMills's video to her Twitter / X^[7] account and received more than 2,300 reposts and 11,000 likes in four days.
