STOCKTALES is a viral YouTube video created by Sr Pelo using stock photography. It has spawned several fan parodies and remixes.
Origin
The original video, "STOCKTALES", was posted to YouTube by Sr Pelo on August 29th, 2019,[1] which is a compilation of several shorts he previously posted to his Twitter account. The video (shown below) features various scenes played out using stock photos and video game music. It has received over 10 million views in just over two years.
Spread
On August 31st, 2019, YouTube user Perhaps198 posted a video that was inspired by the original. This video features a chicken trying to run away from a bald eagle. The video (shown below) has over 80,000 views.[2]
On April 23rd, 2020, YouTube user Deepvoid posted a parody of a scene from the video using the tune "Bonetrousle" from the Undertale soundtrack. The video (shown below) has over 4 million views.[3]
On February 11th, 2023, Sr Pelo released the sequel to STOCKTALES, titled STOCKTALES 2.[4] The video (shown below) has received over 172,000 views in less than one day.
