Overview
Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore is a platforming interactive animated adventure video game developed by Seth "Dopply" Fulkerson as a spiritual successor to the Zelda CD-i games, infamous online for their low-quality and unintentionally comedic full animation cut scenes and poor gameplay. The game was announced in mid-July 2023 and garnered excited reactions from many online, inspiring fan art and memes featuring the characters from the trailer. It also inspired YouTube Poop (YTP) animations, similar to how the Zelda CD-i games inspired YTP animations in the mid-2000s.
History
On July 12th, 2023, the LimitedRun and GameTrailers YouTube[1][2] channels posted the premiere trailer for Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, an upcoming platforming game described as an "interactive animated adventure" (shown below). The game takes inspiration from The Legend of Zelda games on CD-i, Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, with both the cutscenes and platforming gameplay resembling the CD-i games.
