The Ducks at the Park are Free refers to a copypasta which reads, "The elites don’t want you to know this but the ducks at the park are free you can take them home I have 458 ducks." The copypasta originated on Twitter and it has since been used in various image macros, often in conjunction with Alex Jones.
Origin
On May 4th, 2018, the Twitter account @weinerdog4life[1] posted the origin of the copypasta, gaining over 6,700 retweets and 23,000 likes (shown below).
Spread
The copypasta began to trend towards the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, as various adaptations of the statement began to appear across such platforms as Facebook, Reddit, iFunny, and FunnyJunk. For example, on December 24th, 2019, a variation pairing the quote with Metal Gear Solid was posted to iFunny[2] by Juvenalian, gaining over 35,000 likes (shown below, left). On January 5th, 2020, the Facebook page Egoistball[3] posted the quote paired with J.R.R. Tolkien, gaining over 340 reactions (shown below, right).
One of the most common variants presents the saying as a subtitle over Alex Jones. This was posted to iFunny by turning_noodle[4] on January 7th, 2020, gaining over 47,000 likes (shown below, left). An example was posted to /r/PoliticalCompassMemes[5] on January 25th by chief_yeet14, gaining over 900 points (shown below, right).
