Enshrouded is a survival, crafting, and Action RPG combat RPG game developed by Keen Games. The game features multiple elements from survival games like Minecraft, offering crafting materials to create a base, hunt animals and magical beasts for rewards and trophies. The early access game was released on Steam in January 2024, receiving positive reviews from critics and players.

History

On May 3rd, 2023, IGN^[1] uploaded a video on YouTube announcing the game Enshrouded developed by Keen Games, describing it as a survival action RPG for 1 to 16 players. The trailer (shown below) showcases weapons you can use, like swords, bows, and more, as well as formidable enemies, building elements, and more. The video amassed over 500,000 views and 9,200 likes in a year.

Reception

An early access version of the game was released on Steam on January 23rd, 2024, alongside a launch trailer (shown below, left) posted on YouTube^[2], which amassed more than 150,000 views and 2,000 likes in two days. Enshrouded also received several positive reviews and "first impressions" content on the internet, like a gaming YouTuber^[3] @ForceGamingYT post on January 24th, 2024, who said, "After 50 hours with the game, I’m happy to say I really enjoy it." The video (shown below, right) garnered over 226,000 views and 6,900 likes in a day.

Online Presence

Online, gamers and streamers have been posting their impressions of the early access version of the game, like TIkTok^[4] user @mattagainstmatt, who shared a video of his first boss battle in Enshrouded (shown below, left), amassing more than 5,000 plays and 63 likes in a day. On the same day, TIkTok^[5] user @n3bst4r uploaded a video commenting on the game's features (shown below, right), which received roughly 13,000 plays and 261 likes in a day.
