Incolatus: Don't Stop, Girlypop! is an upcoming Y2K girly-pop-themed first-person shooter (FPS) for PC by the indie studio Funny Fintan Softworks. The game was announced in September 2024, going viral especially on X, former Twitter, as an FPS game targeted at queers, which prompted some jokes and memes about Incolatus' 2000s aesthetics.

History

Incolatus[1] was announced on February 21st, 2024, during IGN's Fan Fest 2024, labeling the game as a first-person arena-style shooter running on the Unreal 5 game engine, incorporating advanced movement mechanics in a Y2K girly-pop-themed sci-fi fantasy setting.

The indie studio behind Incolatus, Funny Fintan Softworks, posted a trailer on IGN's YouTube[2] channel (seen below), which received roughly 16,000 views and 276 likes in eight months.

Funny Fintan Softworks has yet to announce a release date for Incolatus, however, the game is already available on the wishlist at Steam.[3]

Online Presence

On September 24th, 2024, Incolatus revealed a new trailer on X[4], which attracted some virality and anticipation by netizens to play a Y2K girly-pop-themed FPS. The video (seen below) amassed over 1,2 million views and 10,000 likes in two days.

X[5] user @strvmpetss uploaded a fan art based on the game's trailer (seen below), receiving roughly 58 likes and 10 reposts since posted on September 25th, 2024.

OH THIS IS BAD

Funny Fintan Softworks's team has also been posting updates on the developments of their girly pop shooter. For example, on June 17th, 2024, @incolatusgame[6] uploaded a video commenting on the addition of "FAERIES" in the game (seen below), amassing over 24,000 plays and 3,600 likes in four months.
